Throughout American history, many brave men and women have done more than was thought possible in pursuit of freedom. During the American Revolution, George Washington and his army suffered through the bitter winter of 1777 at valley forge. Abraham Lincoln took the first steps in freeing slaves and led our nation through a civil war, eventually giving his life. Susan B. Anthony endured criticism and hardship while gaining recognition for women’s rights. These amazing people gave their life’s effort for the cause of freedom.
And then there’s Joe Biden. I don’t know if he just really wants to get on the “Top 100 Great Americans” list, or if he really thinks he’s helping his country, but he’s doing everything he can to support LGBT rights. That’s fine, of course, but not when it happens at the expense of the rights of others.
Ever since I was about 2 years old, I’ve understood that there are two genders: male and female. It seems like a simple concept, because the moment a baby is born, you can tell it’s gender just by looking at it. But simple or not, it’s a concept that some people just can’t seem to understand.
When people decide they want to change their gender, it doesn’t make me want to talk to them or be around them, because that’s not normal. I’ll still be nice to them, because they’re still people, but that’s all. When someone is gay or lesbian or whatever-you-want-to-call-it, it signifies a hormonal imbalance or mental illness that should be confronted and treated, not encouraged.
Like it or not, there are only two genders. That’s the way God made it, and anything else is not okay. In case you’re wondering, it’s in Genesis 1:27: “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
What I’m saying here is that, despite what too many people would like you to think, it’s not normal to be homosexual or transgender. We don’t have to go out of our way to make sure we’re not discriminating against the LGBT community and their views, because, frankly, they’re wrong.
Can we really let men who call themselves women enter women’s bathrooms and locker rooms where they can abuse girls and women? Can we really let men who call themselves women compete in women’s sports where they can win every single time without even trying? Joe Biden will tell you yes, because to do otherwise would be discrimination!
Not only that, but our wonderful president wants to pass the 2021 Equality Act. This bill makes discrimination on the basis of sex illegal at establishments which provide “public accommodations” (This includes schools, stadiums, parks, retail stores, and more!). This means that a baker will be unable to refuse to make a wedding cake for a gay couple, even if it goes against his or her moral or religious beliefs. This means that stores will be unable to designate men’s and women’s bathrooms, and require customers to use the appropriate bathroom. Come on, man!
LGBT people are still people and we should treat them with kindness, but we don’t have to encourage them in their beliefs. We don’t have to agree with them, and we don’t have to let the government trample on our rights to avoid discriminating against them. Instead of changing our society to fit their lifestyle, we should lovingly and patiently try to help them change so that they can fit into society.
True freedom can only be found under God’s law. God only made two genders. He gave each of us a spiritual identity that can’t be changed. When we try to tamper with nature, it never ends well. Let’s turn around before it’s too late.
