Coronavirus.
I bet you can’t even count how many times you’ve heard that word in the last few months. What’s funny is just a year ago, you wouldn’t even know what I was talking about if I said that word. COVID has changed our lives a LOT. It’s claimed the lives of thousands of Americans, and infected many more, but you know what? I’m not even worried about it. Really. I’m serious. What I’m worried about is the real virus: the virus of communism, the way the government is taking away our precious freedom like never before. It’s the virus inside the virus. It’s the plague that everyone has, but nobody knows they have it.
Currently, corona has infected roughly 2 out of every 100 people in the US, which is pretty bad, but when we look at the statistics for the virus inside the virus, we find that 100% of Americans are infected. Every single man, woman and child who lives under the jurisdiction of Uncle Sam has had their first amendment rights violated to an extent that would make the freedom-loving founders of our country turn in their graves, all in the name of a “national emergency”. The right to freely assemble, the right to worship together as God-fearing people, the right to free enterprise, it’s all gone.
But that’s not the only problem. Our economy is based on a free market system. At least, it was, until the states started shutting down their economies, regulating businesses in a way they had no right to do.
The Dallas News estimated in April that the COVID-19 lockdown could cost the U.S. economy approximately $972.6 billion in GDP and 11.4 million jobs on an annual basis.
Little did they know they were wrong.
In fact, so far, the government lockdown on our economy has reduced the GDP by 33% from quarter 2 to quarter 3 of 2020, along with over 20 million lost jobs, resulting in an unemployment rate of 14.7%, a level not seen since the Great Depression in the 1930s.
That’s a third of the national GDP gone, with millions of Americans facing poverty! Let’s face it. It’s not ideal. In fact, it’s an economic disaster.
And that’s not to mention the 3.1 trillion dollars in relief handed out by the government (and added to the national debt), including the CARES act passed by congress in March, to “support the economy during this crisis.” The truth is, the bill covered many other things, including salaries of government workers and funds for a local nature center! The sad thing is, if the government had left the economy alone, it wouldn’t need that support, because as a capitalist economy, it is more than capable of supporting itself in a crisis.
If all this sounds communist to you, that’s because it is. Communism is built on the foundation of government control over the economy. The next time you catch yourself saying America is a Republic, think again. We’ve turned into the Democratic People’s Republic of America.
The “emergency powers of the constitution” that our government is operating under don’t even exist. The government can under no circumstances take away our first amendment rights. But they have. They still are. And it’s just a little scary, because according to Ronald Reagan, “Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.”
So will we gain our freedom back? Is it lost forever?
That’s up to you. It’s up to you to speak up in defense of the rights you were born with. Now that you know that you’ve been infected with this virus, it’s your duty to spread the word. It’s our duty to show the government that the American people have finally opened their eyes to what’s actually going on.
Your freedom is on the brink of extinction.
Will you defend it, or not?
